Our history

The company history of M.K. Electronic:

1988 On 21.03.1988 Massimo and Kerstin Scuderi found the company M.K. Computer Electronic as a service provider for the regional industry, the company name M.K. reflecting the initial letters of Massimo and Kerstin Scuderi.

1990 Brother Rosario Scuderi joins the family business. At the same time, the company is transformed into a limited liability company. In the following years, the business area is expanded more and more. The contract with NOKIA authorizes M.K. as NOKIA repair center for monitors.

1994 M.K. takes care of more than 600 PCs and 400 printers in Germany. Since many customers and interested parties are located in Switzerland, a branch office is founded in Vitznau (Switzerland) in 1994.

1995 The idea of selling spare parts professionally and the "fuser exchange program", i.e. the guarantee to take back old fusers within 14 days at a fixed price and to deliver new ones within 24 hours, eliminates the need for customers to keep expensive stocks. As a result, M.K. generates sales of over DM 10 million for the first time.

1996 Through a convincing implementation of the distribution idea and optimization of logistics, M.K. receives a parts distribution contract from Lexmark. The agreement includes the supply of spare parts for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. A Europe-wide central logistics system is set up. The management decides to have the processes and the quality management certified according to the DIN standard ISO 9001.

1997 - 2000 Through hard and consistent work, the company obtains spare parts distribution from Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Acer. The already existing contract with IBM is extended.

2001 M.K. is awarded the exclusive distribution of parts for Xerox printers. M.K. presents itself for the first time at CeBIT and Systems, the leading IT trade fairs.

2002 M.K. is awarded the contract for the distribution of Kyocera-Mita parts. A cooperation with Poland and Hungary is established.

2003 Globalization also enables M.K. to establish subsidiaries in Austria and Italy. A new building with spacious offices and a logistics center is planned in Göppingen for the expansion of the company.

2004 M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH moves to Göppingen into a new, larger office and warehouse building. With 1000 sqm office, 4000 sqm warehouse and a 1200 pallets high bay warehouse the basis for further growth was created.

2006 - 2008 M.K. starts a partnership with PGE (Parts-Group-Europe) and takes over the logistics for many parts distributors. M.K. gets the exclusive spare parts distribution for SAMSUNG. M.K. is awarded the title "Strategic EMEA Partner" by Lexmark. Extension of the ISO certification to the DIN EN-ISO 9001:2008 standard. In addition, the company assumes responsibility for future generations and obtains Din ISO 14001 certification in the area of environmental management.

2009 With the motto "strong together" M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH takes over its long-time market companion TomTech GmbH. "Strong together" for the customers in the hard competition and against the grey market.

2010 M.K. starts as authorized parts distributor with SAMSUNG the COSMOS project, which includes the distribution of spare parts for the A3 printers.

2011 Together with PGE, M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH expands its business activities in France and the Czech Republic. The company Express Group becomes a new PGE partner.

2012 As an exhibitor at the Paperworld 2012 and Cebit 2012 trade fairs, M.K. Computer ELECTRONIC GmbH presents itself in conjunction with PGE as a global spare parts distributor. A new, extensively programmed online store goes online. Customers can search, find and purchase parts even more easily at www.mk-electronic.de ,.

In 2013, M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH becomes an authorized parts distributor for Olivetti. Thus, the M.K. group of companies expands its portfolio in the field of original spare parts for printers, PCs and notebooks with the partner Olivetti and thus further expands its presence in the European IT market.

2014 New partner from South Africa. With the expansion of PartsGroupEurope by the company SPL from Johannesburg, South Africa, the country coverage of the largest network of authorized parts distributors (PGE) now not only extends to over 25 European countries, but also offers a comprehensive presence in all African countries as well as in the Middle East.

2014: Clean power With its own photovoltaic system on the roof, the company took its first step into Green IT at the beginning of October.

2014: For the first time in October, M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH participates in another trade fair in the region. At the IT&Business in Stuttgart, M.K. presents the extended portfolio with spare parts for smartphones and tablets.

2015: International trade fairs M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH participates in the largest international trade fairs in Frankfurt (Paperworld) and Hanover (CeBIT). The increasing internationalization of the MK Group is noticeable in the growing number of foreign customers.

2015: New subsidiary in the Netherlands: Another branch office, M.K. Computer Electronic B.V., is opened near Rotterdam on September 1, 2015, thus responding to the wishes of its internationally operating customers in the European region for only one contact partner. The Netherlands offers attractive opportunities for the specialist distributor from Göppingen to deliver spare parts for PCs, notebooks and printers to the required place of use as just in time as possible.

2015: Paperworld Frankfurt and CeBIT Hannover: M.K. Computer Electronic presents itself again to the international audience and buyers from all European countries with a new booth design. Many regular customers take the opportunity to get a personal impression of M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH.

2016: The office organization "Büroring" is an official partner and all members of the office ring can now purchase all parts from M.K. Computer Electronic through their umbrella organization Büroring.

2017: M.K. Computer Electronic continues to focus on its international relations at CeBIT in Hannover.
Lexmark and Kyocera both choose M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH as their distributor of the year which fills the managing directors of M.K. Computer Electronic with great pride. The continuous improvement processes in the area of warehouse/logistics as well as incoming orders are paying off.

2018: M.K. Computer Electronic gets another managing director. Daniel Scuderi, the eldest son of Massimo Scuderi, is appointed as another managing director. Thus, the course for the future of M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH is set as far as succession planning is concerned.

2019: New partnership with OKI. M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH, based in Göppingen and active throughout Europe, is now responsible for spare parts distribution for the manufacturer OKI in Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries. As a high-tech goods shipper, M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH provides support and logistics services for IT spare parts. The company combines under its umbrella spare parts supply agreements with the largest brand manufacturers - as now also with OKI Europe.

2020: M.K. Computer Electronic GmbH expands its service portfolio and acquires ALTRA IT-Services GmbH, the specialist service provider for all aspects of the digital workplace, with over 150 well-trained service technicians who take on rollouts for large and small projects throughout Germany and operate 55 pick points for this purpose.

2022: After the talks in 2021, it is clear: M.K. is expanding into the Nordic region and opening another office with warehouse in Sweden with the aim of covering the entire Nordic area with Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. This means that M.K., in association with PartsGroupEurope, will be able to offer a comprehensive spare parts supply in over 70 countries with Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
